Standard Bank: Bongani Mbokazi

Bongani joined Standard Bank in July 2009.

Standard Bank Group Operations HR Director Bongani Mbokazi wrote his Masters thesis on what senior management perceives to be the most essential competencies for middle managers. The aim of the study was to establish whether managers at different levels of the organisational hierarchy perceive different managerial competencies as important for middle managers, and whether there were differences between the perceptions of males and females. Prior to his current role, Bongani was the Head of HR for The Coca-Cola Comany's South African franchising business and before that he was the Head of HR for Enabling Functions at Absa Bank.
