Nonkululeko joined Transnet in 2012
Transnet CHRO Nonkululeko SIshi has been involved in crafting and leading the company’s human capital strategy, which has to support both the growth strategy and the social responsibility that the company shoulders as a parastatal. Affectionately known as ‘Machunu’, she believes young will play an important role in the growing economy and promoting regional connection. At Transnet, she will oversee a drive to acquire high-level skills to ensure that the company’s R300 billion capital investment programme becomes a success. She has strong views about the need for community upliftment and has thus been involved in backed social development initiatives that encourage engagement and empowerment of the vulnerable and those in greatest need.

Transnet is South Africa's state-owned freight transport and logistics company.
