The building of the buzz has officially begun.
The new HR Indaba Africa 2019 website is now up and running. For anybody looking for information about this year’s event this is the place to go. The site provides an updated list the blockbuster line up of speakers, which already includes Discovery CHRO Tswelo Kodisang and AngloGoldAshanti executive vice president for group HR Tirelo Sibisi. Those that missed the inaugural event can have a look the image gallery to see just how badly they missed out on what was a memorable HR spectacle.
Via the website, HR practitioners can register for the Indaba for free and HR service providers can have a look at the rate card if they are interested in being a part of the second instalment of the biggest HR conference on the continent, getting access to over 3 000 HR professionals and being able to speak directly to all South Africa’s decision-makers and budget gatekeepers.
Xpatweb immigration specialist Marisa Jacobs says what she liked most about the inaugural Indaba was the open layout of the exhibition area, which allowed for free-flowing movement and made it really easy to engage with people coming to their stand while also being able to network with other exhibitors.

“More than any other conference or expo, we found that this Indaba allowed plenty of opportunities to really interact with the HR professionals as opposed to them simply walking by and taking a brochure. The people that came to our stand really wanted to know more about the solutions we offer and how we overcome common industry challenges,” says Marisa.
Other exhibitors appreciated the Indaba for the sheer return on investment, with a number of them saying the value for money was too good to resist, resulting in them signing again on an even bigger package.
“The leads were not just positive, but have generated actual sales in excess of 20x the amount we invested in being there. The combination of speaking and exhibiting was a big win,” says Emergence Growth managing director Raun Smythe.
With many of last year’s exhibitors already signed up to for the 2019 Indaba, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better. There is no fear of the unknown as all the speakers and partners know what to expect and will therefore be upping their game accordingly. After all, the HR Indaba is not only on opportunity for HR practitioners to learn from the country’s top executives and thought leaders, it will also expose to new technologies and service providers that will enable to be deliver on the mandate of delivering bette value to their organisations through improved people practices.
