Tirelo is an MBA graduate with over 20 years' experience in Human Resources (HR) field. , having joined Anglogold after being the Group HR and CSI Executive at PPC Cement, with responsibility across South Africa, Rwanda, Ethiopia, DRC, Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. In her current role, she oversees the HR capability of an international gold-mining company with 20 operations across North and South America, 8 countries in Africa and in Australasia and which employs more than 63,000 people.

The HR Indaba will be the largest of its kind in South Africa, giving HR professionals an opportunity to learn everything they need to know about the latest HR technology, HR strategy, company culture, labour laws, recruitment, employee engagement and HR leadership. It will also bring together thousands of colleagues, suppliers, platforms, universities, specialists, recruitment agencies, CHROs and thought leaders.

Tirelo, whose background has primarily been in talent management, CSI and transformation, is someone that cares deeply about the importance of leading a purposeful life. She has often come to be referred as the conscience of the organisation wherever she worked because it is important to her that she makes a meaningful impact in every role she has had, whether it is through mentorship programmes or through building communities.

She will surely touch on the subject of how to make a meaningful contribution, not only to the bottom line of the organisations in which HR professionals find themselves but also to the lives of people in those organisations and the communities that they serve. She strongly believes that, with the current macro socio-economic challenges in South Africa today, including high unemployment rates, HR Executives have significant influence at the leadership level and can, therefore, play a pivotal role in coming up with lasting solutions to help alleviate some of the social challenges while contributing to organisational performance and success.
