Founder Fabienne Francis tells us more about the communication and people skills system.

With only days left before the inaugural HR Indaba, the anticipation from partners is palpable. In this article, we speak to Fabienne Francis, the founder of idendityDNA, about why she is looking forward to the event.

What is Identity DNA, how long has it been around and what was the reason for starting the company?

“Identity DNA is a highly effective communication and people skills system that uses personality analysis in a fast, easy and accurate manner. I created IDNA four years ago to empower people to discover their own greatness, potential and purpose and to provide insight into and understanding for people around you. It was developed on the basis of behavioural observation of three personality types. All people share these three styles of behaviour to varying degrees.

"Although we are all a combination of the three styles of behaviour, most of us have a dominant style, which expresses our identity. Understanding one's dominant style, revealed in your behaviour, could change the way you communicate and interact with others. We have a team of Master Trainers and university professors to empower you to better understand one's self and others Think of it as a lantern that’s guiding you through the maze of your life. Along the way, there are tons of amazing adventures, and yes, a few pitfalls, but you have the power within to build genuine relationships and find your authentic self."

How do you differentiate yourselves from other competitors in your space?

“The identityDNA personality tool personality tool is easy to understand and knowledge learned is immediately transferred into the workplace. It analyses a person’s character traits, aptitude, intelligence and abilities to determine the environments where they would thrive. It is a South African system created especially to understand our rainbow nation.

Why have you signed up for the HR Indaba and what should attendees look forward to seeing from you at the event?

“We want to create awareness, that there is an easy solution available to address the challenges the HR community faces. Attendees can look forward to an exciting presentation, which will tell them about profiling people in a fast, easy and accurate way, which will give an immediate snapshot of a person's character.”

What would you say is the biggest challenge facing the HR profession?

“The biggest challenge is having to work with different personalities and not being able to communicate in a way that makes sense to them.”
