The reason for her suspension is yet to be revealed.

Mail and Guardian reported earlier this month that South African Airways (SAA) general manager of HR Vuyi Raseroka had been placed on precautionary suspension and that she would not be reporting for duty pending a disciplinary hearing. The airline has since confirmed the report butis yer to provide any detail around the HR head’s suspension. Fin24 quoted SAA spokesperson Tlali Tali saying:

"There is currently no basis for SAA to disclose the circumstances around her suspension…It is important that we preserve the integrity of the processes we have undertaken. (It must be) underpinned by fairness and respect for the rights of individuals.”

With more than three decades of public and private sector leadership experience with varied environments including telecommunications and petrochemicals, Raeroka has helped to advance South Africa's Human Resources in multiple capacities. According to her LinkedIn profile, she joined SAA in 2017 and has held senior HR executive positions at MultiChoice (VP HR Africa), Telkom (Group Executive HR), Vodacom (Managing Executive) and BP (HR Director Africa).
