The new head of HR Southern Africa says she is ecstatic to join the international company.
Shanitha Singh has been appointed as head of HR Southern Africa at Sandvik. She has been a human resources leader around the globe, and has worked at strategic and operational levels for more than two decades.
She previously worked as an HR Consultant at Hexagon Mining. She has also held several other positions in different companies.
Shanitha says about her appointment: “I am excited for the opportunity to lead Sandvik's Southern African HR team to greater heights and to serve our people in the great culture and transformation journey ahead.” She says she believes that transformational HR leads the way for diversity, equity and inclusion.
“I emphasise that a diverse and inclusive workplace is one that makes everyone, regardless of who they are or what they do for the business, feel equally involved and supported in all areas of the workplace. We have an exciting journey ahead at Sandvik Southern Africa and I am grateful to lead the people journey going forward,” says Shanitha.
