Sibanye-Stillwater appoints Themba Nkosi as CPO

The former chief sustainability officer of the group is now the chief people and culture officer at Sibanye-Stillwater.

Themba George Nkosi has transitioned from being the chief sustainability officer of the Sibanye-Stillwater group to the chief people and culture officer as of October 2023.

Themba joined the group in July 2016 as executive vice president: human capital for the group and has more than 25 years’ experience across various industries in human resources, corporate affairs, communication, social performance, ESG and sustainability.

He holds a BA Hons (Employment Relations) from the University of Johannesburg, a BTech in HR from Peninsula Technikon and has also completed a HR executive programme from University of Michigan.

Prior to joining Sibanye-Stillwater, he was head: human resources, transformation and corporate communications at ArcelorMittal South Africa from June 2009 and human resources director for sub-Saharan Africa at PepsiCo.
