Nomaxabiso (Norma) Teyise has been appointed group executive for human capital at fintech company Lesaka Technologies.

Nomaxabiso (Norma) Teyise, former group executive head of people and transformation at Takelot.com, is joining Lesaka Technologies as group executive for human capital. Prior to joining the online shop, she was the group executive for HR at Oceana Group.

On her LinkedIn account, Norma described leaving Takealot as ‘hard’, but also expressed her excitement about joining Lesaka Technologies.

“Farewells are always hard, mostly because of the people you leave behind. Takealot Group has been my playground for the past three years. What a joy ride it has been. I’ve been stretched, challenged, delighted and blessed to have been part of the takealot.com Mr D Superbalist journey. My mission is complete. I hope, as Sir Robert Baden-Powell said, I leave it better than I found it. Mamongae Mahlare and the team onwards and upwards. You hold one of South Africa’s treasures. May you and the extraordinary minds at Takealot Group continue making a positive impact in SA.”

Norma holds a postgraduate degree in industrial and organisational psychology from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and was most recently nominated in the CHRO Awards for 2023.
