Angie Ontong, director: human resources development at the dti, joined the department in 2014.

Before her tenure at the dti, she worked as the director for the South Africa National Treasury from 2012 to 2014, and human resources: HRD specialist from 2010 to 2012. Prior to this, she served in various roles at Old Mutual Group, First National Bank Home Loans, Damelin Academy of Banking & Financial Services College, Barclays Bank, Stanbic, and Standard Bank South Africa.
