Diana Johnson is an experienced HR professional who has worked with British American Tobacco (BAT) for over 15 years. She is currently the Area HR Director Sub Saharan Africa. 

Prior to that she was the HR & Inclusion Director for East Southern Africa Area, covering 27 markets. Diana began her career with BAT as an HR Business Partner for Operations in 2009. In this role, she was responsible for ensuring a healthy and sustainable employee relations environment, strong union relations strategy, and facilities management. She was then promoted to Senior Rewards & Employee Relations and became the Head of Rewards - southern hub cluster in 2015, Diana then moved to Rio de Janeiro, as Head of Human Resources Operations, where she was responsible for HR strategy in the cigarette factory, supply chain, procurement, agricultural production, tobacco leaf processing, and research center within Brazil, as well as talent retention and employee relations issues. She currently leads the HR strategy for ESA DRBU in 27 markets across East Southern Africa. She had a Masters in HR from COPPEAD UFRJ.
