Pindi Gida is the chief officer for human capital and corporate services at the South African Local Government Association (SALGA), a position she has held since 2022.
Before this, she served as SALGA’s portfolio head of human capital and corporate services. She also founded Mai Gida Consulting and was executive director of human resources and transformation at the University of Johannesburg. Pindi began her HR journey at Transnet Freight Rail, previously known as Spoornet, and spent several years at MTN in various leadership roles including general manager of HR service delivery, head of HR at MTN South Sudan, and senior consultant in organisation development.
Pindi holds an MBA from GIBS, a master’s in human resource management from Wits, a post graduate diploma in business management from GIBS, a postgraduate diploma in HR management from Wits and a law degree from the University of Fort Hare.
