Anusuya Govender was appointed as chief people officer (CPO) for Old Mutual on 1 November 2023.

Anusuya first joined Old Mutual as the group remuneration and benefits executive in April 2020. Since then, she is said to have demonstrated her passion for people through various initiatives that she has spearheaded for Old Mutual’s employees. 

Anusuya has over 20 years’ experience in human capital and has worked across leading blue chip organisations in financial services and telecommunications. Prior to joining Old Mutual, she worked at SABMiller (now AB InBev) and as an independent consultant advising on human capital and reward strategy.

Anusuya holds an honours degree (commerce) in industrial and organisational psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and has also completed an international executive development programme at the London Business School.
