Sharmila is an experienced, commercially aware HR Executive, with a proven track record in strategic HR management, change management, policy development and implementation within the financial sector, both locally and globally. She has gained experience working in Europe, managing a business unit across Africa and operating at an executive level across the globe for a support function. Before her current role, Sharmila worked as an HR executive at Standard Bank and, before that, was the HR head at Citibank South Africa.
Sharmila has a BA in Psychology and Sociology and BA Hons in Sociology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She also holds an MBA from the University of Wales and a number of other business and banking qualifications.
