Simona Marchese was appointed HR Governance Lead at Gelncore in November 2022. Prior to this she was Head of HR at Nkwe Platinum. She was also HR Director at Antalis SA. Simmona is an experienced HR leader with a demonstrated history of working in both the commercial and operational aspects of HR and IR in the business supplies & equipment, FMCG, Motor and Metal industries as well as the Education sector. Prior to Antalis, she ran her own consultancy, Simona Marchese and Associates, and worked as an HR Business Partner at Ferrero. She has a BCom (legal) and an Honours in Advanced HR Management and Labour Relations. She has also lectured HR Management, Industrial Relations and Business Management at the University of the Witwatersrand and has published a book on Employment Equity.
