Accenture South Africa promotes Patience Mathebula-Okoruwa to HR director

Patience Mathebula-Okoruwa has been promoted to HR director at Accenture South Africa, where she will oversee the organisation’s HR agenda in South Africa.

Her career with Accenture spans nearly two decades, during which she has held a series of progressively senior roles across HR.

She steps into the role following her tenure as inclusion & diversity lead and HR partner lead for strategy & consulting in South Africa, where she was responsible for advancing inclusion priorities while aligning HR strategy with business performance. 

Her experience at the organisation includes serving as HR client account lead and geographic unit HR business partner lead, as well as people advisor and learning and development specialist positions.

Earlier in her career, she also worked as a computer technician, claims officer and contractor clerk at Palabora Mining Company, and as a support consultant at Learning Resources. 

Academically, Patience holds a MBA from Henley Business School. She also holds a BCom in HR management, a postgraduate diploma in labour relations from Unisa, and a national diploma in computer systems engineering from Tshwane University of Technology.
