Aveshni Naicker has been appointed as McCain SAF’s new HR director

The experienced HR leader will continue with her focus in the FMCG space.

Aveshni Naicker has been appointed as McCain SAF’s new HR director, effective from 7 March 2022.

Aveshni is a seasoned human capital professional with a career spanning more than 15 years, predominantly in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, as well as knowledge in the fire and aviation space with board level experience as an HR leader.

In welcoming Aveshni into her new role, McCain managing director Unathi Mhlatyana said, “She is passionate about recognising synergies and complementing talent to opportunity to help business achieve results, as well as learning, connection for the greater good, a sustainable environment and unlocking human potential as an HR lead of a business.”

He added, “She is an enthusiastic, value-driven individual who advocates for inclusivity, education, equality, female advancement, children’s rights, and being [the] authentic you!”

Aveshni’s career began as a trainee HR manager at Pioneer Foods, now PepsiCo, and grew in varying roles and capacities within that organisation.

She was also the group human capital executive at Kishugu Holdings, a company with four subsidiaries that specialises in aviation, integrated fire management solutions as well as environmental services.

She joins McCain from RCL Foods where she held the role of HR executive.

Aveshni has had varying roles and achievements throughout her career but considers her greatest role as daughter imperative in all she does.

She has rich experience in organisational culture and design, employer branding, and international HR relations with engaging other African countries, Australia, Chile, and the UK.

Aveshni takes over the reins from Karabo Mothibi.
