Judith joins the company at a critical time

Group Five has appointed Judith Nompumelelo Nzimande as the Executive Director Human Resources with effect from October 1, 2017.  Judith has taken up the position which has been vacant since the end of June and was formerly held by Jesse Doorasamy, who was one of a few executive committee team members to resign from the company earlier this year.

Judith holds a B Com Honours degree in Human Resource Management with the University of KwaZulu Natal, where she later obtained her Masters in Commerce degree. She also holds an MBA degree with Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University (US) and has done the Global Executive Development Program with GIBS as well as the Strategic Negotiations Program with Harvard University. Judith is a Golden Key Member, a lifetime membership that she was awarded in honour of her academic excellence during her studies.

She is a seasoned HR professional with over 20 years of experience in HR related fields and has held positions ranging from Generalist to Head of Human Resources and Transformation at Mondi Shanduka Newsprint (MSN). Her last office was with Richards Bay Coal Terminal (Proprietary) Limited (RBCT) as Head of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs Departments.

Judith joins the company at a crucial time when it is repositioning itself to address the underperforming operations and respond positively to the current vacillating market and economic environment; strategic imperatives whose success predominantly lays on the efficacies of the company’s human capital management processes.
