Hilton’s human resources VP for Middle East, Africa and Turkey: Marie-Louise Ek

Marie-Louise Ek has been named vice president of human resources for the Middle East, Africa & Turkey for global hospitality company, Hilton.

In a recent comment on her LinkedIn page, Marie-Louise said, “I am fortunate to have worked for great companies in a variety of industries, but in hospitality the power of making someone’s day certainly stands out.”

“Being an avid fan of food and drinks, and hotel stays, I could not be more happy to now be on the right side,” she added.

She will lead Hilton’s human resources function and drive the company’s people and culture strategy across the region, which encompasses 181 hotels and more than 30,000 employees.

Prior to joining Hilton, Marie-Louise was the senior director for human resources at PepsiCo, responsible for Africa, Middle East and South Asia. She is also a certified executive coach.

Marie-Louise has over 20 years’ experience in the HR discipline and has previously held leadership roles at Coty, Bridgestone EMIA, Sandvik and APM Terminals.
