Reabetswe Motshegare has been nominated for the 2026 CHRO Awards for her role as HR director Sub-Saharan Africa at Scatec ASA.
She joins a cohort of HR leaders competing across nine award categories, including the headline CHRO of the Year title.
Reabetswe joined Scatec in 2024 after serving as HR business partner lead at Bridgestone EMIA. Prior to this, she worked as people operations and systems lead for Southern Africa within the business.
Before Bridgestone, she was HR business partner for commercial, retail and industrial at Growthpoint Properties.
Her earlier experience includes HR generalist and senior HR generalist roles at Cummins.
She has also served as a member of the Directors Association since 2021 and was previously part of the JB Marks Alumni Steering Committee under the JB Marks Education Trust Fund.
Reabetswe started her career as HR assistant to the dean of the management faculty at the University of Johannesburg.
Dubbed the “Oscars of HR”, the CHRO Awards continues to celebrate leaders who raise the bar for people leadership in South Africa across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.
The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 24 November, where winners across multiple categories, including the CHRO of the Year title, will be announced.
