Karen McDonald has joined Bridgestone Southern Africa

Bridgestone Southern Africa has announced the appointment of Karen McDonald as its people director.

Bridgestone Southern Africa says their new people director, Karen McDonald, brings with her a legacy of impacting lives by transforming and improving ways of working.

Karen has over 19 years’ experience in human resources and has worked for local and multinational companies across sub-Saharan Africa such as Imperial Bank, General Electric and, most recently, as the general manager of human resources at Air Products.

The company says in her new role, Karen will be responsible for growing and stimulating the strong culture within Bridgestone Southern Africa “that enables us to engage and retain the best people for every part of the business.

“Under her leadership we will continue our commitment as a Top Employer to championing diversity and inclusion, providing industry leading learning and development opportunities and ensuring holistic employee support,” the company says in a statement..

Karen holds an honours degree in psychology and is a certified change practitioner. According to Bridgestone Southern Southern Africa, she is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of people engages with.
