Nomfundo Vilakazi to head up HR at Dis-Chem Pharmacies

Nomfundo Vilakazi has been appointed as HR director for Dis-Chem Pharmacies.

Nomfundo Vilakazi, Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ newly appointed HR director, joined the group in 2019, and has been involved in a number of initiatives, from driving talent acquisition to building foundational HR policies and organisational development. 

“I’m excited to continue building an environment where every individual at Dis-Chem Pharmacies feels valued and equipped to reach their full potential.”

Her focus has been on creating spaces where people can thrive. Her HR vision is rooted in collaboration, trust and growth.

“This new role isn’t just about sitting at the leadership table, it’s about representing every cashier, pharmacist, and cleaner at Dis-Chem. It’s about ensuring their voices are heard and their contributions are valued.”

Prior to joining Dis-Chem, Nomfundo previously held roles at PepsiCo South Africa, SACAA and SARS.

She holds a BTech in human resources development and a national diploma in training, learning and development.
