Press release: Accenture Rising Star Awards to use Wamly to select winners

post-title

Wamly's one-way video interview software will help Accenture make the best selection for their awards.

The annual Accenture Rising Star Awards, which recognise top-performing young talent across eleven industries including mining and banking, will this year exclusively be making use of one-way video interview software Wamly to select winners.

Wamly, cofounded by celebrated South African entrepreneur Marnus Broodryk, has found to save companies as much as 80 percent of the time they would spend on interviews, ensuring that hires are made quicker than ever before.

And it is now promising to help the Accenture Rising Star Awards save time, and make the best possible selection for their awards by using one-way video interview software.

Instead of sitting hours through interviews, or studying CVS, and shortlisted individuals having to spend valuable time and money on travel costs for interviews, Wamly promises to save time and simplify the entire process.

It allows the Awards judging panel to create questions in an app, send hundreds of shortlisted candidates a link which would then all complete a video interview (without the panel being present).

Back in the office, the panel will be alerted when a candidate has completed an interview, be able to scan through the videos and identify the best of the best for in-person interviews.

Entries for the Accenture Rising Star Awards close at the end of May. Judging will kick off at the beginning of June, and from July the top 10 will be interviewed through Wamly before the category winners are announced at an award ceremony on the 21st of October.

About the Accenture Rising Star Awards
The Rising Star Programme, operated by BlackBark Productions, was established for the purposes of recognising, celebrating and connecting young talented people below the age of 40 who have a capacity for achievement and success. Judged on five criteria, including ‘vision and ability to innovate’, ‘passion and impact’, ‘responsible engagement’, ‘agility’ and ‘systems thinking and sensemaking’, those nominated are evaluated by a panel of judges before a winner is named at a gala award ceremony. The Rising Star Programme’s partners include SA Taxi, Sasol, Hilton, BAT and Rand Refinery.

About Wamly
As internet banking replaced cheques, Wamly will replace fruitless face-to-face interviews. Wamly, an award-winning platform, allows businesses to invite potential employees to complete a one-way video interview online, and the business to review it in their own time - reducing the need for in-person interviews which wastes hours. It is now the fastest-growing video interview software in Africa.
