The annual competition received over 100 applications from diverse tech startups, with the selection process focused on identifying the top contenders based on their innovation, potential for growth, and impact on their respective industries.
The finalists, which included Amnova, Autoscriber, Data Convergence, EngageMx, Franc, Happy Pay, Momint, Streams Pay, Strove, and Wamly, gathered in Cape Town on April 13th to present their 3-minute pitches to a panel of experienced entrepreneurs.
After careful evaluation, the judges announced their decision on Thursday, April 20th, 2022, with Wamly declared as the Tech Startup of the Year 2023.
Wamly's one-way video interview platform streamlines the recruitment process, saving time and creating efficiency for both employers and job seekers.
The company's vision is to help the world hire better people faster by continuing to innovate within the HR space, and to help create the most rewarding recruiting experience possible.
Since its launch in 2018, Wamly has acquired over 500 clients, including notable brands such as Sanlam, Multichoice, King Price, Momentum, Webuycars, Hollywoodbets, and many more.
