Aba Ayirebi has been nominated for the 2025 CHRO Awards for her role as head of people at Stor-Age Property REIT Ltd.

She joins the list of HR leaders who are among this year’s CHRO Awards contenders.

Aba was appointed as the head of people at Stor-Age Property REIT Ltd in 2020. Prior to this, she transitioned through various HR roles at the company as HR manager, assistant HR manager, and HR assistant with a career spanning 12 years in core human resources.

Aba holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Stellenbosch and has recently qualified as a SHRM SCP - Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional. Before moving into HR, she began her career as an assistant operations manager – a sales and customer service role based in one of their facilities and worked her way to the role she now carries.

Dubbed the “Oscars of HR”, the CHRO Awards continue to honour the country’s most influential HR leaders across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.

This year’s celebration will take place on 12 November at The Polo Room in Sandton, where nine awards will be handed out, including the headline award of the night – the CHRO of the Year title.
