Current executive director for HR and corporate affairs, Abey Kgotle, will take on the role of CEO of Mercedes-Benz South Africa at the end of the year.
The luxury car automotive brand has announced that Abey will be making the move to CEO, after spending 8 years leading its HR and corporate affairs portfolio.
Before joining Mercedes-Benz, he held various executive roles at Lonmin Platinum, including director and executive VP for HR.
His earlier career saw him in HR leadership roles at GrafTech SA, the City of Johannesburg RSSC, and Naschem.
Abey holds an MPhil in international business, trade and commerce from GIBS Business School, a post-graduate qualification in HR from the University of Johannesburg, and a BSocSc in sociology and social work from North-West University.
Abey will assume the CEO role on 1 December 2025.
