Bronwynne Bester has been nominated for the 2025 CHRO Awards for her role as chief people officer at Oceana Group.
She joins the list of HR leaders among this year’s CHRO Awards contenders.
Bronwynne has been the CPO at Oceana Group since July 2020. Before this, she held HR director roles at Massmart, overseeing the Masscash Holdings and Cambridge Food division.
Her earlier career includes consulting roles at Accenture and MAC Group. She began her career as an HR officer at the Independent Police Complaints Commission and also served as an associate lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Dubbed the “Oscars of HR”, the CHRO Awards continue to honour the country’s most influential HR leaders across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.
This year’s celebration will take place on 12 November at The Polo Room in Sandton, where nine awards will be handed out, including the headline award of the night – the CHRO of the Year title.
