Dr Busisiwe Tshabalala has been nominated for the 2026 CHRO Awards for her role as group executive: HR at African Rainbow Minerals.
She joins a cohort of HR leaders competing across nine award categories, including the headline CHRO of the Year title.
Busisiwe has led the HR function at African Rainbow Minerals since 2014, following earlier roles as executive for HR operations and HR manager within the organisation.
Before joining African Rainbow Minerals, she served as national HR manager at Hilti South Africa, HR manager at Hilton International, HR consultant at African Bank, and senior HR consultant at Sita.
Earlier in her career, she was the HR consultant at Telkom SA, and personnel administrator at First National Bank.
Dubbed the “Oscars of HR”, the CHRO Awards continues to celebrate leaders who raise the bar for people leadership in South Africa across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.
The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 24 November, where winners across multiple categories, including the CHRO of the Year title, will be announced.
