As workplaces continue evolving, talent remains at the heart of every successful organisation.
To set the tone for a transformative year in talent management, CHRO South Africa is launching its 2025 calendar with the CHRO Apex Talent Summit, a gathering where HR leaders will explore trends, challenges and opportunities in talent management.
This year’s summit promises to deliver practical solutions and forward-thinking strategies to help the CHRO community navigate the future of talent with confidence.
Set for 20 February, at 39 Melrose Boulevard in Johannesburg, the CHRO Apex Talent Summit will bring together some of the brightest minds in HR, an exciting line-up of speakers and countless networking opportunities.
Futurist and trend analyst Bronwyn Williams will deliver the keynote address, followed by more key insights from Joseph Rock, the group head of people experience at Exxaro, Palesa Matoli, the executive head of human capital and transformation at Bidvest Bank, and Nolo Thobejane, chief people and transformation officer at YUM.
Speaking to CHRO South Africa in a previous interview, Joseph Rock highlighted that true talent development comes from empowerment. “Experience has shown me that if you truly empower people to deliver in their roles, they invariably deliver far beyond what even they thought they were capable of,” he said.
Meanwhile, in a past conversation with CHRO South Africa, 2024 Young CHRO of the year Palesa Matoli also highlighted the importance of creating an environment where talent can thrive, stating, “I believe in fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusion, where employees feel valued and empowered to contribute to the organisation’s success.”
More thought-provoking insights will be shaping the discussions during the CHRO Apex Talent Summit. And as always, CHRO South Africa events are about more than just thought leadership. Attendees will also enjoy an evening of networking and engaging conversations over drinks and canapés, forging valuable connections within the HR community.
