Excited to be part of the CHRO Awards again this year, GIBS will be sponsoring the Learning & Development Award for 2023.
The Learning & Developing Award is geared towards someone who has been the driving force behind the upskilling and development of people at all levels in the organisation. The CHRO who wins this award at this year’s CHRO Awards will have been very successful in aligning the learning and development policies and practice with the strategic goals of the organisation and can cite examples of innovative and successful ways the workforce is improving. The CHRO is also expected to have played a pivotal role in the continued learning of executives and leaders.
Clea Dias, head: marketing and brand at GIBS, says the awards resonate with the organisation’s values: “These awards recognise and showcase excellence within the South African human resources and learning and development communities. At GIBS, our mission is firmly rooted in enhancing both individual and organisational performance, not only across South Africa, but throughout the continent.”
Clea adds that collaborating with CHRO South Africa means they can remain on the cutting-edge of HR trends: “This, in turn, allows us to consistently tailor our services to address the ever-evolving needs of the business landscape.”
The annual CHRO Awards will be held on 14 November at the Polo Room in Inanda, Johannesburg, where CHROs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions will be recognised for their work in the industry. Billed as the Oscars of HR, the ceremony will host top CHROs, VIPs and business partners for an exquisite evening of networking, entertainment and fine cuisine.
