Ford Motor company’s Thabo Masete secures nomination for the 2024 CHRO Awards


Ford Motor Company HR executive Thabo Masete is in the running for top honours at the year-end extravaganza.

Thabo Masete, HR executive at Ford Motor company since 2019, has been nominated for the 2024 CHRO Awards. Thabo is responsible for providing overall strategic direction of the HR services to the business.

He first joined Ford in 2013, starting as a HR business operation manager. In 2015, he was promoted to HR manager for Struandale Engine Plant, based in Gqeberha. He returned to Gauteng as senior manager HR in 2017, which led to his current position.

Prior to that, Thabo cut his teeth in the HR field as a HR development officer/training officer at Nissan in 2002.

CHRO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in HR, recognising their hard work in the past year at listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions.

The 2024 CHRO Awards nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Polo Room in Sandton on 14 November 2024.
