Gcobisa Ntshona has been nominated for the 2025 CHRO Awards for her role as the group chief people officer at African Bank.
Gcobisa joins the list of HR leaders among this year’s CHRO Awards contenders.
Gcobisa took up the role at African Bank in May 2023. Before that, she was HR director at Lexis Nexis. She also served various HR generalist roles at Barclays Africa Group, and spent several years at Shell South Africa, holding various roles across the HR value chain.
Dubbed the “Oscars of HR”, the CHRO Awards continue to honour the country’s most influential HR leaders across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.
This year’s celebration will take place on 12 November at The Polo Room in Sandton, where nine awards will be handed out, including the headline award of the night – the CHRO of the Year title.
