Nthabiseng Thaba has been nominated for the 2026 CHRO Awards for her role as HR director at Leroy Merlin South Africa.
She joins a cohort of HR leaders competing across nine award categories, including the headline CHRO of the Year title.
Nthabiseng has served as HR director at Leroy Merlin South Africa since 2022, after previously holding the role of HR business partner for learning and development at the organisation.
Before joining Leroy Merlin’s leadership team, she was HR and training manager at Emoyo Biomedical Technologies, regional training coordinator at Polyoak Packaging, learning and development officer at Queenspark, and kicked off her career as a senior facilitator at Italtile.
Dubbed the “Oscars of HR”, the CHRO Awards continues to celebrate leaders who raise the bar for people leadership in South Africa across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.
The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 24 November, where winners across multiple categories, including the CHRO of the Year title, will be announced.
