The chief of people at Rectron joins the group of nominees for the prestigious awards.
Kutlwano Rawana has been nominated for the 2023 CHRO Awards.
She holds a BA in human resources management from the University of Johannesburg, a BA in industrial psychology from Unisa as well as a master’s in business leadership from Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership, which she completed in 2017.
She started her career in an entry level HR administrative role at Morkels, which is part of the JD Group. In 2008 she moved to the Spar Group, in an HR generalist role.
In 2011 she joined the Edcon Group, starting at a regional level and ultimately being exposed to HR being a business partner.
Prior to joining Rectron, a role she was headhunted for, she held the chief of human capital position at Ster Kinekor Theaters.
Her current role as chief of people at Rectron is the first executive committee HR role in the history of the Mustek Group subsidiary. As such she is the first black female exco and board member for the company.
The annual CHRO Awards recognise CHROs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions and award them for outstanding performance and leadership. Billed as the Oscars of HR, the ceremony will host top CHROs, VIPs and business partners for an exquisite evening of networking, entertainment and fine cuisine.
The CHRO Awards will be taking place on 14 November 2023. Reserve your seat here.
