Last chance saloon to register for Get Smart summit

Don't miss out on this fantastic learning and networking opportunity.

The expected attendees of the Get Smart Summit includes the likes of McDonald's South Africa Chief People Officer Brigitte Da Gama, JTI HR Director Laurette Makhubele, as well as former South African Post Office Group Executive for HR Anthea Seafield, among many others.

The event, which will be hosted at Summer Place in Hyde Park, Johannesburg, will see senior finance and HR professionals coming together to network among peers and share notes in a casual and relaxed environment.

Anthea says that it is the networking aspect of the event that she is most looking forward to. “The thing is that, with most of these events, we all have an understanding about the topics that are being discussed because we are leaders in our own right. We are very experienced HR professionals and there aren’t many things that we will hear, from a subject matter point of view, that will be a new insight,” she says.

“What’s valuable is hearing from your colleagues about the subject matter in the context of their own experiences. It’s about those conversations around the coffee table where we get to share our challenges with each other and get different perspectives about how to deal with them.”

Attendees of the Get Smart will hear from OMG CEO Mqondisi Gumede, who will deliver the keynote address. Mqondisi is a speaker, strategist, analyst and facilitator who has international experience in marketing, travel and tourism, domestic experience in the construction fields with experience as both client and agency. He will be talking about how “thinking BIG can take you places”.

The attendees will thereafter rotate through three unique breakaway sessions, which will be hosted by Transunion CEO Lee Naik and Peregerine CEO Rob Katz. Jon Foster-Pedley, the dean of Henley Business School, will deliver the closing talk.
