On 15 October, the first-ever virtual HR Indaba Network kicked off with a gamified conference and expo experience. Thousands of HR professionals from across South Africa and Africa had the chance to attend insightful Impact Sessions with world-class speakers, interact with virtual partner stands, and network with their finance peers in online chatrooms.

Attendees embarked on an exciting scavenger hunt in which they had to look for ten diamond partner logos that were scattered across the virtual lobby, exhibition hall and auditorium, and they stood a chance to win one of three R5,000 cash prizes. The winners were:

  1. Thasmantha Ramiah-Naidoo, learning facilitator at KIA Motors SA
  2. Darryl Feldman, divisional executive HR & transformation, group information service at Edcon

They were also awarded points for attending live Impact Sessions and networking, standing a chance to win up to R10,000 and a signed copy of Altron CEO Mteto Nyati’s bestselling book, Betting on a Darkie.
