Luyanda Finini has been nominated for the 2025 CHRO Awards for his role as director of strategic HR planning and organisational development at the Eastern Cape Department of Health.
Luyanda joins this year’s list of HR leaders among this year’s CHRO Awards contenders.
He has served in his current role since 2018. Before this, he was a senior manager for human capital and operations at Sisonke HR Consulting and held key positions including senior HR consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, managing consultant at Proudfoot International Consulting, senior HR manager at the Gauteng Economic Development Agency, and HRD consultant at the National Home Builders Registration Council.
Dubbed the “Oscars of HR”, the CHRO Awards continue to honour the country’s most influential HR leaders across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.
This year’s celebration will take place on 12 November at The Polo Room in Sandton, where nine awards will be handed out, including the headline award of the night – the CHRO of the Year title.
