Greg, who is also a non-executive HR director of Solaray, joined Mediclinic in 2013.

Mediclinic Southern Africa CHRO Greg van Wyk has been nominated for the inaugural CHRO Awards, which will be taking place on 27 November 2019. The prestigious awards will give HR directors and CHROs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions alike an opportunity to be recognised and rewarded for their exceptional performance and leadership. 

Greg is also a non-executive HR director of Solaray - one of the first solar water heater companies in South Africa. Prior to his current roles, he was the Chief HR and Corporate Strategy Officer at the Land Bank where, among other things, he oversaw the ‘Fit For Future’ Project in which he was responsible for the communication, workforce transition and culture transformation of the Land Bank’s turnaround strategy. Before that, he was the HR Director of BMW in South Africa.

Mediclinic is an international private healthcare group that is listed on the LSE (London Stock Exchange) with a secondary listing on the JSE (Johannesburg Stock Exchange) and the NSX (Namibian Stock Exchange). The multinational currently has three operating divisions - Mediclinic Southern Africa which operates 52 private hospitals South Africa and Namibia; Hirslanden, which operates 16 private acute care facilities and three clinics in Switzerland with more than 1 600 inpatient beds; and Mediclinic Middle East, which operates five hospitals and 39 clinics with more than 700 inpatient beds in the United Arab Emirates.
