The CHRO Awards celebrates excellence in HR and recognise individual leaders who have done outstanding work.

In the last year, CHROs have had to learn how to be resilient and create agile workforce strategies as the workplace has undergone unprecedented disruption due to Covid-19. Their adaptability and leadership have been tested, as has their tenacity and endurance.

Most of them have proven HR’s value during this critical time, and now it’s your turn to give them the recognition they deserve as nominations for the 2021 CHRO Awards are now open. You can click here to nominate your HR executive to be recognised and celebrated for the exceptional work they have been doing within their companies. The closing date for nominations is Friday 26 March 2021.

Nominees will undergo intensive interviews and a rigorous judging process to determine the winners of the various awards being presented on the night of the ceremony. The award categories are:

  • CHRO of the Year
  • Young CHRO of the Year
  • Strategy & Leadership Award
  • Transformation & Empowerment Award
  • HR & Technology Award
  • Learning & Development Award
  • Talent Management Award
  • Employee Value Proposition Award

But the biggest question of all: Who will be the next CHRO of the Year to join the ranks of MTN CHRO Paul Norman and Tswelo Kodisang, group chief people officer at Discovery who both took home the CHRO of the Year awards for 2019 and 2020 respectively.

The 2021 CHRO Awards winners will be announced on 25 November during an exclusive gala dinner at the Polo Room.

The annual CHRO Awards recognises CHROs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions and awards them for outstanding performance and leadership. Top CHROs, VIPs and business partners will attend the event to enjoy networking, entertainment and a scrumptious dinner.
