The seasoned executive has been nominated for her experience in HR.
Takealot Group’s executive head: people and transformation, Norma Teyise, is the latest addition to the group of 2023 CHRO Awards nominees.
Norma was appointed to her role in November 2020.
Before joining the online shopping and convenience delivery business, she held various positions including being an independent consultant at Legacy Ilifa Consulting and independent trustee at Old Mutual Superfund.
Her experience includes being the group executive for HR at Oceana Group and executive head for HR at Nedbank Business Banking as well as VP for Human Resources at Deutsche Bank SA.
She graduated with a honours degree in industrial and organisational psychology from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 1999 and holds certification in advanced organisational development from the University of South Africa, a manager of function certification from Duke University and a certification in international executive development from the University of Witwatersrand.
The annual CHRO Awards recognise CHROs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions and award them for outstanding performance and leadership. Billed as the Oscars of HR, the ceremony will host top CHROs, VIPs and business partners for an exquisite evening of networking, entertainment and fine cuisine.
