OUTsurance Chief People Officer Suren Naidoo nominated for CHRO Awards

Suren has been actively involved in transforming the insurance sector.

OUTsurance Chief People Officer Suren Naidoo has been nominated for the inaugural CHRO Awards, which are to be held on 27 November 2019. The awards will give HR directors and CHROs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions alike the opportunity to be recognised and rewarded for their exceptional performance and leadership. 

Suren joined OUTsurance in 2002 as an HR manager and was appointed onto the company’s executive committee in 2005. In the years since, he has been responsible for the full HR function and was involved in everything, from the formulation and implementation of HR strategies to management and operational reporting. In 2017, he was officially appointed as the chief people officer and assumed full responsibility for HR and all training functions. Suren has also been actively involved in the transformation and human capital work streams at the South African Insurance Association.

OUTsurance is an insurance services holding company based in South Africa, with subsidiaries in Namibia, Australia and New Zealand. It is a subsidiary of Rand Merchant Investment Holding, a South Africa-based financial services investment holding, which is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. The company has been ahead of the curve when it comes to digitisation of the insurance sector, launching an app last year that created a far more digitally friendly interface which allows customers, for instance, to log a windscreen claim or insure their laptop or mobile phone directly on the app allowing for a seamless user experience.
