Palesa Ntoagae has been nominated for the 2025 CHRO Awards for her role as the executive human capital and facilities at Old Mutual Insure.
Palesa joins the list of HR leaders among this year’s CHRO Awards contenders.
Palesa first joined Old Mutual Insure in 2023 as human capital executive and assumed additional responsibility for the Facilities portfolio in 2024.
Prior to that, she served as HR director at the JSE. Her career foundation was built at Standard Bank, where she held a series of senior roles – from HR consultant and talent manager for IT and operations, to head of human capital for personal and business banking and finally as people and culture lead for the Southern Region.
She also spent time at Deloitte as a senior consultant in the human capital practice, and earlier in her career, fulfilled various HR roles at KPMG and Safcor Panalpina (now known as Bidvest International Logistics), where her career journey started.
Dubbed the “Oscars of HR”, the CHRO Awards continue to honour the country’s most influential HR leaders across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.
This year’s celebration will take place on 12 November at The Polo Room in Sandton, where nine awards will be handed out, including the headline award of the night – the CHRO of the Year title.
