Rachel Masuku joins SABC as group executive for HR

Seasoned HR executive Rachel Masuku has been appointed as the new group executive for HR as of 1 October 2024.

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has appointed Rachel Masuku as its new group executive for HR.

Rachel has extensive experience across industries such as banking, insurance, hospitality and legal services, with experience in various countries including the United Kingdom and Namibia.

Prior to joining the national broadcaster Rachel was the CPO at Norton Rose Fulbright and before then the HR director at Webber Wentzel. She also served as the divisional executive: HR operations at the National Health Laboratory Service.

She has also been the executive HR at Nedbank Namibia, Sun International and Mutual & Federal (now Old Mutual Insure).

Rachel holds a BCom (Hons) in HR and an MBA from Henley Business School.
