Human capital professional Unathi Sihlahla has joined the group of people making up the 2024 CHRO Awards nominees.
Unathi Sihlahla, executive head of human resources and organisational development at Rand Refinery, has been nominated for the 2024 CHRO Awards.
She started her career as a HR generalist at Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) in 2008. She later took up the role of talent development specialist at the German motoring group.
Unathi has also held a number of other roles, including being the leadership development manager (global) at Sasol, talent development manager at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, country talent manager (Southern Africa) at Swiss multinational technology company ABB, as well as the Africa head of talent management at BASF a German chemicals company.
She holds a BA HR management degree (majoring in industrial psychology, business management, labour relations) from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, a BA (Hons) in industrial psychology from the University of South Africa and she has recently completed an MPhil in change leadership from the Gordon Institute of Business Science.CHRO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in HR, recognising their hard work in the past year at listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions. The 2024 CHRO Awards nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Polo Room in Sandton on 14 November 2024.
