Royal Bafokeng Platinum HR Executive Vicky Tlhabanelo has been nominated for the inaugural CHRO Awards, which will be taking place on 27 November 2019. The prestigious awards will give HR directors and CHROs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions alike an opportunity to be recognised and rewarded for their exceptional performance and leadership. 

Vicky has more than 22 years' experience spread over various industries, including banking, agriculture, NGOs, transport business, retail, research and the academic sector. In her current as leader of the of the HR function, she overseas wage negotiations, remuneration (including managing the activities of REMCO), Social Labour Plans, and Talent Management. She has also spearheaded HR-related strategic projects - establishing the communications strategy and branding of Royal Bafokeng Platinum and the initiative to promote employee engagement between executives and staff. Prior to her current role, Vicky was the Executive Director of HR at the Tshwane University of Technology.

Over the coming month, CHROs and HR directors nominated for the CHRO Awards will be share some of their triumphs, accolades and challenges during gruelling two-hour interviews.
