Sam Sithole is the new Sun International chairman
Sam takes the reins from Jabu Mabuza who passed away in June.
Hotels, gaming, and entertainment group Sun International has appointed Sam Sithole as its new non-executive chair effective from 2 July. He replaces Jabu Mabuza who recently passed away due to Covid-19.
Sam was appointed to the board in June 2018. He is the CEO and co-founder of Value Capital Partners (VCP). Prior to starting VCP, Sam was at Brait for more than eight years as the financial director of the group and later as executive director – capital & treasury.
Before Brait, Sam spent six years as an audit partner at Deloitte and left the firm as group leader for the financial services audit practice in Johannesburg. He currently also holds directorships, among others, in Altron, Adcorp and African Phoenix.
