Sibonakaliso Shabangu has been nominated for the 2025 CHRO Awards for his role as director of global business services and HR at BASF.
He joins the list of HR leaders among this year’s CHRO Awards contenders.
Sibonakaliso joined BASF in 2018 and has held several other positions within the company, including supply chain operations manager, head of supply chain and logistics for market area Africa, and head of HR for the region.
Prior to BASF, Sibonakaliso worked at Philips Lighting as a supply chain improvement manager. He also spent nearly seven years at Shell, where he held various roles including planning optimisation manager and logistics contract manager amongst others.
