JSE-listed real estate investment trust (Reit) Rebosis Property Fund has announced that CEO and founder Sisa Ngebulana will step down to retire with effect from December 1, 2021.

Sisa founded Rebosis in 2010 as the first black-owned and managed property fund to list on the JSE. He served as CEO prior to taking up a non-executive deputy chair role in October 2017 and will remain a shareholder in the company.

Sisa will be replaced by Otis Tshabalala, who is currently the COO at JSE-listed SA Corporate Real Estate.

Otis has 28 years of experience in the commercial property sector, and was formerly a member of senior management at Delta Property Fund, serving on the board there, as well as in the positions of chief investment officer and COO.

To ensure a smooth handover to his successor, Sisa will consult with Rebosis until the end of May 2022.
Rebosis chairperson Anna Mokgokong, on behalf of the board, thanked Sisa for his commitment and dedication in turning Rebosis around.

“We wish him the very best with his future endeavours and look forward to interacting with him as a shareholder going forward. On behalf of the board, I would like to welcome Mr Tshabalala to the company. We are delighted with his appointment and look forward to his contribution based on his leadership skills, wealth of experience and knowledge of the sector.”
