The chief people and culture officer of the Standard Bank Group is in the running for the 2023 CHRO Awards.
Sharon Taylor joined Standard Bank 32 years ago and has held various senior executive positions during the course of her career.
She has served as the group’s head of organisation development and also as the head of human resources for business and commercial banking, for corporate and investment banking in SA, for global investment banking and for the Standard Bank of South Africa. She took on her current role in 2014 and is responsible for people and culture for this diversified financial services business, employing over 50 000 people and operating across 20 countries in Africa, with presence in six international markets.
She holds a BCom (Hons) from UNISA and a BCom from the University of KwaZulu Natal.
