Tapaswee Chandele has been appointed global chief people officer at The Coca-Cola Company, marking a significant milestone in a career that has been built almost entirely within the organisation.
Tapaswee brings close to two decades of experience at the organisation, having joined in 2001 and progressing through a range of HR roles across regions and functions.
She currently serves as senior vice president and chief of staff to the president and CFO, a role that placed her at the centre of enterprise decision-making. Prior to that, she was senior vice president of global talent, development and HR system partnerships.
Her earlier roles include global director for recruiting and talent management consulting, as well as HR director for the Southern and East Africa business unit.
Within Coca-Cola’s Eurasia and Africa operations, she held roles as HR director and strategic business partner. Her experience further includes serving as general manager in HR, overseeing client management and key programme development, and as senior manager in talent management and HR.
She began her career at the company in HR generalist roles managing employee relations and business unit talent, and as an area manager in HR and management trainee, with exposure to sales HR management and industrial relations.
Tapaswee holds an MBA in HR from Symbiosis International University, along with a master of science in biochemistry and a bachelor of science in biochemistry and chemistry.
